As a saxophonist, audio engineer, producer, and composer, James D’Ambrogia’s extraordinary versatility adds a unique voice and sound to everything he’s involved in.
James was born and raised in Northern California and is now based in NYC. While in NYC, he’s had the opportunity to perform at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, BRIC Jazz Festival, the National Jazz Museum, and many other venues throughout the area. James has been able to work with many of the leading musicians in the country such as Charles McPherson, Reggie Workman, Ben Wendel, Tatum Greenblatt, Ted Nash, and Matt Wilson.
James’s many projects that he’s involved in include his jazz fusion trio, the DDP Group, whose most recent album, In With The New was released this past February. In addition to that he’s also a sideman in The Muffin Man Orchestra.
James has extensive experience doing live sound, and works as a freelance mixing engineer, working on projects in many genres such as rock, jazz, singer-songwriter, folk, and electronic music.
